Planned Trips for 2020
Easter 2020
Outer Hebrides - Isle of Uist
9th April - 14th April
Hi, Looking at travelling up to the Isle of Uist for Easter on the 9th April and staying for 6 nights. We have a choice of accommodation, of either self catering house or hotel. The self catering accommodation I'm looking at is the Borrodale Self Catering with a max cost of £107 per night for the house, (situated close to a pub)
We'll be taking the Rhib up and air fills are available locally.
I would need to know numbers so as to know what size lodgings to book and will require a deposit before I book.
The local wreck is the The SS Politician, a popular wreck went down in foggy weather on 5 February 1941. She had a general cargo of whisky. Much of it was salvaged but apparently you can still see intact bottles of whisky. And The SS Burnside sunk in March 1933 while transporting a cargo of parrafin and limestone. A fire breakout was responsible for this accident. There's plenty of marine life around the stern. We plan to dive various dive sites around the island, including wrecks and scenic.
Can everyone please let me know as soon as possible if they are up for the trip
